Friends Of The Marion Baysinger Memorial Library

In 1928, the local Women's Club started a volunteer library in Groveland City Hall. It was in the old Post Office, then moved to the Puryear Building Annex in 1966. Because of her tireless devotion to the community and its small library, the Groveland Library was renamed the Marion Baysinger Memorial Library in 1991.

Eight years later, it officially became a Lake County branch. The Friends of MBM Library, Inc. was organized and received their Florida Articles of Incorporation on November 1, 2000, and qualified for 501(c)(3) Public Charity status. Our proceeds directly and only support the Marion Baysinger Memorial Library.
